By using PLP Compass+™ (the "Service") at compassplus.thedutchmentor.com, you agree to these Terms of Service. The Service is operated by Walter Dusseldorp, doing business as The Dutch Mentor ("we," "us," or "The Dutch Mentor").
PLP Compass+™ is an AI-powered talent-review and Individual Development Plan tool intended for use by managers and organizations. The license holder enters team rosters, plots team members on the Box 9 talent grid, defines organizational North Star goals, and the Service generates one Individual Development Plan per team member.
You must be at least 18 years old, an authorized representative of your organization (or a self-employed individual managing a team of contractors), and able to enter binding contracts.
License tiers:
Each license is for one named individual manager (the license holder). The license is not transferable. Multiple managers in the same organization should hold separate licenses.
Compass+ licenses are annual recurring subscriptions billed via Gumroad. You may cancel at any time through your Gumroad account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current annual term. Refunds are available within 14 days of any annual renewal, prorated against any team data you have actively generated during that period.
We grant you, the license holder, a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to use the Service to develop the team members you specify under your license. You may share generated IDPs with the team member they pertain to, your HR partner, and your direct manager. You may not redistribute the Compass+ methodology, framework, or AI outputs commercially.

The Pure Leadership Power™ framework, the Box 9 archetype mapping, the S.M.A.R.T. Performance pillars, and all original Compass+ content are the intellectual property of The Dutch Mentor. IDPs generated for your specific team members are yours to use within the license terms.
Compass+ uses artificial intelligence (Anthropic Claude) to generate IDPs and manager copy lines. AI-generated outputs may contain inaccuracies and reflect probabilistic pattern matching, not professional HR judgment.
Compass+ is designed and intended as a recommendation and conversation aid — not a "consequential decision" tool under applicable AI-in-employment regulations (Colorado SB 24-205, Illinois HB 3773, NYC Local Law 144, EU AI Act). The license holder, not Compass+, is the decision-maker for any actual employment action.

For team-member data you enter into Compass+, you are the data controller and The Dutch Mentor is the data processor. We process the data only on your instructions, only to generate the deliverable you requested.
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify or discontinue features at any time. If we discontinue a paid feature, we will provide pro-rated refunds.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Dutch Mentor's total liability arising from your use of Compass+ is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to employment outcomes, attrition, retention losses, or claims by your team members against you arising from your use of Compass+ outputs.
You agree to indemnify The Dutch Mentor against any claims by your team members, your organization, or third parties arising from your use of Compass+ outputs or your breach of these Terms.
Both parties agree to treat any non-public information shared in connection with the Service (including team rosters, IDP contents, and rollup data) as confidential and to use it only for the purposes contemplated by these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York.
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email to active license holders at least 30 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
